My name is Laura Kathryn Parkin, and I have been a Bartlett pet sitter for 8 years now. I am a member of Pet Sitters International and I am also a bonded and insured pet sitter with Pet Sitters International. I have been certified by the American Red Cross in pet first aid.

Having grown up around animals and being a pet owner myself I understand how much love one shares with their loyal companions and how much they are apart of our families.
Since I was a little girl I knew I wanted to work with animals. The thought of being a veterinarian had crossed my mind. The problem was I wanted to get to know my new animal friends and not just get to see them when they were sick.

I was first introduced into the pet sitting world right after high school and it was like a dream come true. I worked for another pet sitting company for about three and half years and from that experience I was able to branch off and start my own company.

For a brief year I hit the pavement and got an office job. after that year I founding myself very restless and not to satisfied with my work. It was then I realized what really made me happy.....

Something I care deeply about and would like to pass on the concern to all animal lovers is the cruelty pit bulls endure .
At Midwest Rescue of Illinois, they are doing everything they can to help this loving, mistreated, misunderstood breed. They rescue dogs in need, find them loving homes, and educate the public about the breed.
